Ozone Transport Assessment Group - How is Ozone Transport Assessment Group abbreviated? Ozone Transport Assessment Group; Ozone Transport Commission; Ozone Transport Region. In recent years, the OTC, EPA, and others have determined that a substantial part of the region ' s ozone problem comes from sources outside of the OTC region. As a result, the EPA has formed the Ozone Transport Assessment Group, consisting of environmental commissioners of most of the states east of the Rocky Mountains and senior EPA officials.

The Ozone Transport Assessment Group (OTAG) has been working for the past year to develop an overall approach to the reduction of transported ozone and nitrogen oxides.

Although the recommendations are not final, there is an emerging consensus on several points. Abstract: The Environmental Council of the States, in conjunction with the Ozone Transport Assessment Group book. Environmental Protection Agency, established the Ozone Transport Assessment Group (OTAG).

The goal of OTAG is to identify and recommend a strategy to reduce transported ozone and its precursors which, in combination with other measures, will enable attainment and maintenance of the ozone National Ambient Air.

Results from the Ozone Transport Assessment Group (OTAG) investigation add to the available weight of evidence that transboundary transport exists and point to the need for significant broad- based reductions in NO x emissions.
